I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
